Some Engine Carnage

    Hello All,

    Not sure if this is the right place for this post but I thought some of you would be interested to see the failure of my recently aquired 2007 MS3. I bought this car knowing it had low compression in cylinder 3 and after a 1 hour drive home I parked it in the garage and started tearing it apart. Today I took off the head and saw this glorious failure of the OEM sleeve.

    Looks like im either re-sleeving the block or trying to source a used one. Not sure which direction I am going to go yet, I think a full sleeve job is a little over the top as my power goals are around 350whp which from what I understand the stock parts can handle easily. Whatever route I chosse I will probably will go with forged rods and pistons while I have the car torn apart so any advice you have on that feel free to toss below.
