RMMs are pretty much essential on these cars. Even at stock power levels, the engine flexes a lot. Once you get some mods/tune/make solid power gains, I've actually heard of people having their engine bang against the firewall because of the stock RMM's weakness in conjunction with the extra twisting force on the drivetrain.

To improve shifting performance, the TMM seems to be the best bet. Makes perfect sense, since it is anchored to the transmission. Nothing like immobilizing the transmission to make shifting more accurate. Again, the need to do so will increase proportionately with your power level, which directly impacts how much things want to move around under the hood when you go wide-open throttle. But the TMM is known to transmit transmission whine and clutch-out chatter. It's a trade-off. My Damond TMM doesn't do this too much, but you can definitely notice it. Other mounts I've heard in person transmitted much more NVH.

Since I'm at ~385/380 in good weather, I ended up going fully mounted and I couldn't be happier in terms of amazing performance and moderate NVH. If you think the RMM makes it feel like the engine moves a lot less, just wait until you get a 2nd or 3rd mount in there - it is a VERY noticeable improvement over just RMM.

I'm going to start with the CS TMM insert here I think. I'll be stock power for quite a while and the RMM inserts so far feel great for stock power. When I had the CPE-Stage 2 installed, it felt like overkill for sure.

Ironically, the CP-e Stage 2 is known to be pretty mild for NVH in comparison to other RMM options. I'm pretty sure it allows more flex than mounts like the JBR and Damond, too, but you'd have to ask some folks who've run it and the others for comparison.

For whatever reason when I had the CPE-Stage 2 (I tried 2 of them, a brand new one and a unit that had ~5K break in miles on it) and both rattled the cabin so much that it made looking out the review mirror difficult between 1200 and 1400 RPM. I drive in hour long bumper to bumper traffic on my daily commute, so it was and uncomfortable daily drive because I was always in this RPM range. But in all other RPM ranges the CPE was awesome. Stock vibes for sure.

I had been diligently searching for someone who compared a CPE-Stage 2 to a Damond RMM but couldn't find anything solid before I purchased the CPE-stage 2. When I start throwing power in, I'll probably just purchase the Damond just to try it out as I've already dome some pretty good analysis with the CPE.

Fortunately I love knowing/sharing knowledge. Sometimes too much, LOL! I try to warn people with TL;DR's sometimes to avert reader frustration :D

When your CS RMM inserts wear out, which previous reports say they will do eventually, give the CP-E Stage1 RMM a try. Stock like NVH with improved shifting. I think it is perfect for a daily driver. I want to hear how it fares against the CS RMM inserts.

I've been reading and hearing that Damond ones are great. I have JBR RMM and it works just fine. I bought mine used.

Yeah, I had a JBR 88d dogbone too before I went to the Damond one. Honestly the RMM change had the smallest impact on NVH. It was the TMM and PMM switch that made a big difference.

I have had both the dm and stage 2 cpe, in that order, I was the first run of the dm rmm when it came out and there was some issues of vibes due to washer set up. I moved on to a cpe stage 2 and I thought it was great, less vibes but deff some engine movement over the dm. as of today I just brought the dm rmm again to give it another try, I am also now making 400(bnr s4) vs 330 on the ko4 so power has gone up a good amount and I just don't want the movement anymore.

I also have the cs tmm insert in my car for about 2 years or almost that time, I think it was deff a improvement over the stock mount for sure and worth the 40-50 dollars. I do plan on getting the dm tmm down the line since I am out of mods to buy lol. I say any mount upgrade over stock has been worth it.

So you're just still upgraded RMM now? If so, you're in for a treat when you go TMM, and even more if you add in the PMM too.

I've already tried the DM RMM. It has too much NVH for a daily driver IMO. I would categorize it as a "racecar" type RMM and less of a daily driver RMM. However if your definition of a daily drive means, going WOT every opportunity you can get, aggressive downshifts and launching off the light, then the DMM RMM is great.

You only have a RMM too, right? I feel ya. Back when I only had a RMM and put the JBR 88 in, I was like, "woah, I have some vibes now." Fast-forward to now, and I couldn't imagine not being fully mounted. The performance benefit is ridiculous, NVH notwithstanding (which I quickly got used to anyways, and I'm a NVH weenie...)

Correct I only have a RMM right now. I agree all about the performance benefits you get with the DM RMM, but for the kind of driving I do, I cannot justify the NVH increase.

I hear ya. Honestly NVH isn't that bad Damond fully mounted, comparatively speaking. I was in another fully mounted Speed (not Damond) and my teeth felt like they were going to rattle out of my head/car about to explode. Part of the reason I don't mind it so much (besides the performance boost) is I have a nice system in my Speed too, and I'm pretty much always listening to something...

I like my CPE stage 2 RMM, but the recent addition of the Damond TMM is the cat's ass. Huge improvement with minimal added vibes.

^^^^^^^^^ I simply cannot stress this enough. If you think going from stock RMM to upgraded feels good, wait until you feel what going from upgraded RMM to RMM + TMM feels like (and the PMM is icing on the cake, LOL).

If you haven't got the JBR PMM yet, I recommend the Damond one instead. I've run both and vastly prefer the Damond: much less NVH and easily just as solid.

Seems like a different path. I found the PMM to be the harshest when upgraded. Of course I was running a Sure mount on my other car at the time. I'm going to stay with the stock PMM unless it tears.
